Interested in working directly with clients?
This fall Renewal House will be offering a Training Series
for all interested in volunteering at Renewal House. One of the ways
people can volunteer is by providing Hotline Help - which can be done
from your cell/ home phone. Training dates are THURSDAYS, OCT. 2, 9,
16 & 23, 6-9 PM - AND SATURDAY OCT. 4TH, 10-4. All sessions will be

Walden Pond Polar Bear Plunge

4:00-4:25 – Brief review of the global warming problem, ways to solve it, and the specific goals of Waste Watchers.
4:25-5:30 – Café workshop (in small groups): developing a menu of ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and save money in the process.
5:30 – 6:30 – Social hour and light supper for those who can stay.

March for Peace in Kennebunkport

Up to 10,00 activists and ordinary citizens will converge at the Kennebunk’s Peace Department Rally and March for Peace on August 25. Marchers will meet in the park outside the Kennebunkport Consolidated School on School Street at 10 a.m. The march will feature appearances by Cindy Sheehan and Congressman Dennis Kucinich, among many others, and will include several well-known bands.
