Interfaith Service on Peace
First Parish Church in Plymouth is the oldest continuous church in New England and will be the location of a Peace Service on the 5th anniversary of the War in Iraq. Everybody who thinks about, dreams of, or works toward peace is invited to attend and participate.
"I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there"
-Mother Theresa (1910-1997)
Water...Justice Transformation, An Experiential Event

Bring whatever you choose to bring, no sign ups are used. We try to sit around a table so that everyone can participate in a discussion. We have discussed many aspects of war and peace, torture, and Darfur. For more information contact the church office at 781-934-6532 or email the office at uuduxbury@verizon.net
Peace and Pizza - Introducing the Low Carbon Diet
This month's "Peace and Pizza" features an introduction to the Low Carbon Diet - an innovative, four-session program designed to help counteract global warming. Sustainable South Shore's dynamic President, Judeth Van Hamm, will describe the program with the help of a power point presentation. More information about the Low Carbon Diet can be obtained at www.empowermentinstitute.net/lcd. People who want to be a part of the solution to the global warming crisis can implement lifestyle changes individually, or join a small group for extra motivation and follow-through.
Join Cape Cod UU's for discussion and walk "Energy, Peace, Justice."
Unitarian Universalists on Cape Cod will gather with others on New Years Day (January 1st) for an environmental justice discussion and a holiday walk around Eel Pond in Wood Hole. The theme for the year 2008 is "Energy, Peace, Justice." All people are invited.
A community discussion about environmental justice issues starts at 11:00 at the Woods Hole Community Hall. At noon, people move outdoors for a festive walk through the village and down to the ocean's edge. Families toast each other and their environment with non-alcoholic beverages.
